Project 1:

In the first project,we are required to select a specific shape and choose three materials to produce a design model. So,I've chosen the hexagon and balsa wood, cardboard, transparent sheet as the main three materials. It was a fun project as we got to design what we want with no limited requirement. My design intention was to apply the intersection technique in order to bind all the hexagon shapes to form a hierachy form of hexagons and with some tall little sized hexagons at the side as misfits.Top pictures are my productions.I named it Hex Intersection.

Project 2:

Moodboard

Introduction of building

Individual site analysis

In the second project,we are required to form a group consist of 5 person that we have to distribute our works and go for a site visit. We have to select a building or site to analyse their materials distribution and introduce their building. So,we've chosen the Scott Garden as our main building. As a group,we have to produce a moodboard,a building introduction board and a materials analysis board about the building. While for each individual we also have to chosen a specific site within the building to explain more specifically about the materials of the site. For this aspect,I've chosen the refreshment area as my site which is the swimming pool site of the soho condominium in Scott garden.Top pictures are our production.

Reflection:

In this course,I've learnt many things and get to explore more materials that i've seen before.I've learnt to understand the properties and function of different materials.Besides,I've also get to understand about what materials should a building used to achieve different functionality. It was crucial to learn about the properties of material if I want to further my studies in architecture. It was a great experience to study this course and learn more about other materials that i've learn before.
