Project 1 : Roppongi Analysis

Working as a group, we analysed six contact points along Roppongi, ranging from mega contact points such as the Maman Sculpture in Roppongi Hills to  intimate contact points such as Nishi Park, all addressing the relationship between the type of activities, landscape, public amenities and accessibility.

Project 2: Reaction paper

From Venturi's Las Vegas, Pallasmaa's Geometry of Feeling and Frampton's Critical Regionalism, reaction writings are written by summing a synopsis and sharing a personal subjective opinion from the idea they conveyed.

Project 2b: Comparative essay

In this writing, Roppongi and Jalan TAR's contact points are compared in terms of legibility, scale and perpetual activeness and a conclusion is drawn whereby all these contrasts are highly tied with the social and cultural context of the place, concocting a distinct and peculiar genius loci of the place.
