TALES OF THREE CITIES : PROJECT 1 : THEORIZING THE COLONIAL CITY

A piece of mural art being drawn on different shophouses continuosly somehow linked these irrelevant style of shophouse together.

The unexpected discovering of backlane lines up focusing a vision directing to the facades of another shophouse.

The movement of water and boats dramatize the enthusiasm of the Melaka Street.

The brightful red colonial building acts as a historical time frame that keep reminding people of the past 0f Melaka.

Contrast in height,colour and architecturasl style of shophouses create sense of diversity in architecture along a single street.

A row of chinese lamp being hung along the street somehow blowing a sips of life to the old vestiged shophouses,creating a more lively street.

The old obsolete texture of historical building evokes and reminds of part of originality of Melaka.

The colourful and aggresive figurines on the temple creates a sense of artistic and welcoming.

Different facades being put together in a row forms a sense of unity yet defining each characteristic and uniqueness of every shophouse.

Every facades line up giving a sense of unity,triggering urge to explore more unexpected things along the street.
