Culture & History Project:
In the whole C&H project,we are exposed to different kind of culture and history from other country.We are required to study the existing historical building and know more about their history.In the first assignment of C&H,we are required to focus on one of the questions given and answer them by creating a online group forum,the whole group members are required to answer each question about one building.For me,I've chosen the question:1.what is the form,or shape of the building? 2. How the form or shape of the building contributes in making the building historically significant and meaningful? We are required to answer those questions with attached images.
Assignment 2:
In the assignment 2,we are required to produce a sketchbook related to each of our questions.We have to produce many analysis sketches and provide analytic information in the sketchbook.Since,my group are doing the Colosseum building,i've chosen to do the form and shape of the building section,which i have to explain the form and shape of Colosseum,natural light penetration of building and architectural elements of the building.
Assignment 3:
Reflection:
And this is my assignment 3-the analysis presentation board.We are required to answer to the percedent study analysis questions and also illustrate them in relation to the series of building conceptual elements.I've compiled everything from assignment 2 and improved them to be all arranged into this board.
From the whole Culture & History course,I've learn a lot about history of building,not only ours but other country as well.We are exposed to different culture and civilization and also understand more about the reason they build the building,the reason they build in their style,and the reason they want to use the building for.I've learnt that i need to thoroughly understand what came before a success architectural creation.And also this allow me to take what i've learnt from other country to be implemented into my own project and design.
